Puzzle City Download – Puzzle City Review
After playing Puzzle City for a few hours, it became obvious to me that this DS title was another one of those conversions of a web-based game, like Diner Dash or Cake Mania. A quick Google search later led me to the Big Fish Games website where, yep, I could play Puzzle City for free on my PC.

However, the version for the DS is significantly different than the freebie browser edition, so at the very least if you stumbled upon the original title the portable rendition published by Destineer isn’t a handheld clone.
But even though it’s different from the original concept (which wasn’t all that great to begin with), the DS version of Puzzle City is still not all that great of a puzzle game.
The surrounding theme of Puzzle City is that players are building up a variety of structures by dropping Tetris-like tiles into predesignated zones, which represent houses, stores, skyscrapers when filled up.
The controls are definitely unique: you draw the Tetris piece formation in the empty slots, then tap the piece that corresponds to that shape to put it into place. You only have four pieces to utilize at any one time, but once a piece gets used, another one gets put in its place.
When you’ve filled in all the empty slots and built up the construction zone before the time runs out, you’ll move onto the next challenge.

The game isn’t all that tough because you have far too many ways to successfully complete a level. If all of your pieces are too big to fit, you can simply tap on a hammer icon and shrink down a specific piece to a single tile size.
