I need help finding a beauty contest/pageant in my area.?
I just became very interested in getting involved in beauty contest. I’m 17, and am very enthusiastic, but the thing is I can’t find a contest that fits me. There are no decent directories online and I’m want to know about every contest there is, not just the preliminaries to make Miss “Whatever State Your In”.
I live in Southern California, and I’d be willing to do anything that isn’t about the area I’m living in to quality. I’m even considering fitness now because I can’t find really anything. Oh yeah, and remember it’d be my first contest so thats why I’m not looking to do Miss California. Can anyone help? I’m feeling a little discouraged because of this fork in the road.
Check out sunburst beauty pageants. They are great starter pageants and are in just about every state. They hold local prelims in the mall and it is very inexpensive to enter. Their state pageants are a little glitzier and more extensive and then they have nationals..they are just finishing up their pageant season and will start prelims in the fall. Check out www.pageantcenter.com also…you might want to get a copy of Pageantry Magazine..they usually have a really good listing in the back of pageants by state. Dream Girls USA used to have a pageant in CA but the did not bring any girls to nationals this year so I dont know if they are still in it, but that is also a great system to get into and really good for new pageant girls 
California Crowning Beauties looks like a great starter pageant for you too..California Gold Coast might be worth looking into as well… Good Luck! Pageants are great experiences!
