Fitness Equipment For Women
What is the difference between a health club for women of all / gym and a health center where both men and women?
My husband says I should join the club a woman's health because the exercise equipment is more suitable for women's bodies. I do not believe him. I think the only difference is that men are not allowed to join the club of women (as Curve) while you'll find women and men in regular health clubs like Gold's Gym, Bally's, Wireless Fitness. Please someone confirm me if there is another difference. I also think that if I join a women only club, there is less variety of equipment and smaller classes for me participate in that if I join a regular health club / gym. This is in the United States (Texas to be precise).
According to the club, there is little difference between man and wife teams or facilities. For me the real reason there are clubs of all women-not just to ward off men who want to hit women, but there are plenty of women who feel shy about your "imperfect" bodies and feel more comfortable in an environment that has nothing to add to the shame of the opposite sex looking like they are trying to improve.
