Vacation Finlay provides a touch of glass
A reprocessing plant innovative new glass has been created in a quarry near Doncaster, using machinery Finlay Hire supplied.
Bank End Quarry, a site of 135 acres in Blaxton, South Yorkshire, has been operating for 35 years.
Moss construction aggregates and recycling Limited have been operating the site – which is still producing high quality red sandstone building – for five years but the art reprocessing plant adds a new string the bow of the company.
Waste glass has fallen to 50 mm in an impact crusher TESAB RK623 before entering a Terex Finlay 390, MP300 connection with a Terex Finlay 16 x 6 feet, three floors, washing horizontal screen.
Any material light, such as paper or plastic, is blowing through a junk Mogensen screen, while fines of 6 mm glass to enter a Sandmaster TC15 Terex Finlay.
Twin cyclones in the Sandmaster separate the wash water clean glass fines, which are stored before being sold for use in concrete blocks and pipeline construction.
All the operation of the plant here has been provided by Finlay for rent – part of Finlay Group of companies.

The versatility of the plant in the Bank End Quarry means not limited to process glass.
