Please advice and counsel of those trying to lose weight?

I posted this Question many, but every time I do I get great advice. I am a 23 old with the hardest time trying to lose weight. im currrently at about 220. I gave up all sodas and energy drinks for about a week. I'm having trouble eating late at night hunger attacks and after work in the evenings. I'm trying to drink more water. things that exercise is difficult because I'm usually active and walking and standing at work anywhere from 8-10 hours a day and a great when I'm home. doesn't help that I have a gym about attendance and the weather is cold and snowy at this time. I'm looking for the right exercise equipment online. that's a bit of me ..
