What exercises should I do in the gym?

I have to do cardio, I'm very bad in keeping up with him in the country, which is why I joined to a gym. But I'm not sure what should I be doing there, I'm so lost lol. I'm thinking treadmill for 30 minutes to 60 minutes. After training ab? 3 sets of 20.
